CNTR Director teaching AI Governance and Ethics two-week Brown School of Professional Studies course

This course will provide a taste of the curriculum for DSI and SPS's upcoming Online MS program in Data Policy and Governance, starting Fall 2025.

CNTR excited to announce the launch of the inaugural cohort for Brown University School of Professional Studies’ AI Governance and Ethics: Examining Regulation, Legislation, and Corporate Initiatives course, beginning on October 15, 2024.

Taught by Suresh Venkatasubramanian, Director of the Center for Technological Responsibility, Re-imagination, and Redesign (CNTR) at Brown, this two-week course explores the complexities of AI ethics, governance, and regulation. Participants will analyze the current AI regulatory landscape, examine the role of governments and international organizations in shaping AI policies, and delve into critical ethical issues like bias, fairness, and transparency.

Delivered in a live-online format, the course features live webinars, a guest speaker, interactive activities, and a real-world case study where participants will apply their insights to a real-life scenario.
