Tomorrow, April 30th, CNTR undergrad, Emily Hong '26.5, will be speaking to Members of Parliament, Senators and the AI Minister of Canada.
For the past six months, Emily has been participating in an initiative by the Centre for Media, Technology, and Democracy at McGill University. The Gen(Z)AI initiative, brought together 100 young Canadians aged 17 to 23, to help shape the future of AI in Canada.
These 100 participants joined 4 forums to share their opinions and formalize recommendations on the following topics:
- AI & Chatbots
- AI & Information Integrity
- AI & Data Privacy
- AI & Age Assurance
The Gen(Z)AI Initiative culminates tomorrow at the National Plenary in Ottawa, where Emily will be presenting findings to policymakers.
