Biography

Meredith Mendola is a strategic leader and advocate working at the intersection of technological ethics and critical disability studies.  As the inaugural Program Manager at Brown University’s Center for Technological Responsibility, Reimagination, and Redesign (CNTR), Meredith leads development on short- and long-term strategic plans at CNTR to establish focused work streams within the Center.  Their work is deeply informed by their experiences as a nonbinary, disabled professional living with multiple diseases; identities that drive their commitment to building technology that honors the full spectrum of human variance.

With over 20 years of experience in program management, digital innovation, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on technology that drives societal impact in agriculture and healthcare, Meredith specializes in translating high-level equity frameworks into actionable and meaningful organizational change. Outside of her professional work, Meredith is an active advocate for accessibility and community engagement, serving on several non-profit boards and leading initiatives that promote diversity in technology.

Meredith holds an MS in Plant Biology and a BS in Forest Sciences from Southern Illinois University, supplemented by certificates in Leadership Psychology from Cornell University.  She also holds certifications in Agile Leadership, Design Thinking, and Lean Change, complementing her extensive experience in fostering inclusive, innovation-driven environments.  Meredith ensures that the "Redesign" of our technological future is fundamentally inclusive, accessible, and grounded in lived expertise.
